Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of sportsdata-mcp (the “Software”) and this website. The Software is free and open source under the MIT Licence. There is no subscription, no account and no payment. You may optionally donate via Ko-fi, but a donation is a voluntary gift: it buys nothing, unlocks nothing, gates nothing, and carries no warranty, support obligation or refund entitlement. Ko-fi handles any payment under their own terms — we never see your card details.

1. What the Software is

An MCP server that runs on your own machine and fetches sports data and betting odds directly from third-party providers. We do not host, resell or redistribute their data, and nothing passes through us.

2. Licence

The Software is licensed under the MIT Licence, which governs your use of it and takes precedence over these Terms where they differ. In short: use it, modify it, redistribute it, keep the notice.

3. Third-party providers are your relationship, not ours

The Software requests data from providers we do not control. You are responsible for complying with each provider's own terms, including any restrictions on automated access, rate limits, redistribution and commercial use. Some providers need a key you obtain yourself; obtaining it and abiding by its terms is your responsibility. A provider may change, restrict or withdraw access at any time.

4. Data is “as is”, and is not advice

Data is provided for information only and is not betting, investment or financial advice. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and feeds break without notice. Do not rely on it for anything that matters without verifying it against the official source.

Some providers are bookmakers and may be unavailable or unlawful in your jurisdiction. Gambling carries risk. If you are in Australia and want support, call 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au.

5. Disclaimers & liability

The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, as set out in the MIT Licence. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from its use — including lost bets, lost profits, or decisions made on the data it returns. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Changes

The Software changes; releases are documented in the changelog. We may update these Terms, and the current version is always the one on this page.

7. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Questions and issues: github.com/DanielTomaro13/sportsdata-mcp.
